Skiing is a Varsity High School sport in Nevada with a rich history since the mid 1970's. High Schools from the Reno/Sparks region compete against each other in league races that culminate in a State Championship. Athletes also have the opportunity to represent Nevada  at the Western U.S. High School Championships.
